1 in 4 people report falling
Falls are the leading cause of fatal and non-fatal injuries among older adults.
1 out of 5 falls results in serious injuries such as head injuries or broken bones.
Each year, 3 million older people are treated at the emergency room for fall related injuries.
Once you experience a fall, you are two times more likely to fall again.
The fear of additional falls often results in avoidance behavior, leading to decreased activity among our loved ones.
With its slippery floors, dim lighting, and tight space, the bathroom is where the majority of falls occur. Bathroom Safety is a critical component for aging safely in place.
